Established in 2014 by the Government of Haryana under Act No. 25, Chaudhary Bansi Lal University, also known as CBLU, is a state University which is located in Bhiwani (Haryana). The University is recognised by the UGC and offers higher education in multi-disciplines under 10 faculties, namely Pharmaceutical Sciences, Physical Sciences, Information Technology, Sports Sciences, Life Sciences, Social Sciences, Humanities, Behavioral & Cognitive Sciences, Commerce, Earth, Environment & Space Sciences and Commerce & Management. It has approximately 58 affiliated colleges which are situated in Charkhi Dadri and Bhiwani.



CBLU has an environment friendly campus which is spread across 133 acre and currently, there are over 1,000 students studying in the campus. It provides all the facilities to the students, including fully Wi-Fi enabled campus, state-of-the-art laboratories & research facilities and an air-conditioned auditorium with a seating capacity of 200.

The library of CBLU has a collection of over 16,000 books. It has subscribed to 17 magazines, 29 journals, 16 newspapers and houses latest encyclopedia, dictionaries and educational publications to cater the needs of the students. Also, the library is equipped with KOHA software to provide online access to the students. The University has more than 90 faculty members who are well qualified as well as experienced. It also organises several extra and co-curricular activities such as hobby clubs that include photography, dance, drama, etc. To enrich students with industry exposure, CBLU regular interactive sessions with eminent personalities from industry and academia.


Presently, CBLU offers one UG,  PG, one five-year integrated programme, four PG diploma and three certificate courses.

CBLU Admission Process

CBLU offers UG, PG, PhD and certificate-level courses under several departments, such as Chemistry, Political Science, Commerce, Economics, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Information & Technology, etc. Admission to all these programmes is conducted online through the official website of the University. UG Courses


  • CBLU MPharm admission is based on a valid sore obtained in GPAT
  • Admission to all the remaining UG, PG and certificate programmes is granted based on the marks obtained in the qualifying degree/ exams, followed by a counselling round
  • For admission to PhD programme, the University conducts CBLU Research Aptitude Test (CBLU-RAT). Also, candidates who have qualified UGC-NET (including JRF)/ UGC-CSIR NET (including JRF)/ SLET/ GATE/ GPAT/ teacher fellowship or any other equivalent national level fellowship holder are exempted from taking CBLU-RAT
  • The aspirants need to update their qualifying exam results on the admission portal to be considered in the admission list

CBLU Placements

CBLU has launched University Training & Placement Cell (UTPC) to fill the gap between the students as well as organisations. UTPC conducts off-campus and on-campus placement drives and helps the students in their overall personality development by organising several activities, including workshops, seminars/ extension lectures, motivational extension lectures, mock interviews and career counselling.


The placement process includes written test, followed by a Group Discussion and Personal Interview (GD/ PI) round.
